Jesus Christ I am so scarred right now. This divorce is slowly becoming a reality. I think for now the best thing for me is some good music...so for a bit I will post the song of the day.

Before I left for LA I downloaded George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass"...not seeing the connection until I was 30,000 feet above California.

Here is today's insight into my world through music..."Isn't it a Pity" - George Harrison

Isn't it a pity
Now, isn't it a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Some things take so long
But how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity

Isn't it a pity
Isn't is a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity
Forgetting to give back
Now, isn't it a pity

Damn, such a gorgeous song. My next post I will recap my visit to Long Beach with my amazing friends Da5id and Ceci.

Wow, two days in a row here...I am on a roll. Well nothing new to report on the marriage front. Things just had no time today to get into, which is good. Breaks are always good from time to time.

The day was a busy one. Up and out the door by 8:45, but not before breakfast off scramby eggs and the best damn Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon...EVER...from Trader Joes! Yum Yum! 9:00 soccer game for the boy. My parents came out with my nieces to watch him play as well. Brrr...cold morning. Coop did great, he even scored a goal, or at least assisted, sadly I missed it as I was looking away for one second. But could not be prouder, he is loving soccer and it is doing wonders for his self confidence.

Then off to the good ol' Wal-Mart for some random stuff, and a b-day present for a party I took the kids to later in the day. We ended up getting Jo-Jo some much needed clothes for she is rapidly out-growing her old stuff and winter is on the way, so we gotta keep her warm. Almost $150 later we leave and head to lunch with my folks.

Get home, M hops in the shower to go to work. I hang with the munchkins for a little bit and then off again to the gymnastics gym for the b-day party, with the black suited Spider-Man action figure wrapped up and ready to go. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket The party was fun, imagine a huge gym with padding everywhere and a bunch of kids just running around being goofballs for 90 minutes...that was it. Good times.

Home! Finally a little down time for me and Coop, while Jo-Jo, who is very cranky at this point is going down for a nap, even though she is fighting me every step of the way. But alas, the second I leave her room, she is out like me in the ring with Mike Tyson.

Up and at 'em for dinner around 6:00. M calls at 6:30 telling me she is not at all well and on her way home. So at this point I decide to meet up with my buddies Aaron and Bobby at Cosmic Monkey Comics in Portland.

They are hosting a huge event in support of the Stumptown Comics Fest, happening this weekend here in Portland. It was nice to hang out with a bunch of geeks and jabber about Star Wars, Battlestar Galactaca and other geek events. Aaron has offered to send me a list of books he recommends, I gotta bone up on my comic knowledge. I want to know so much more. Aaron showed me a Justice Society of America book, that essentially takes the Justice League (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc...) and sets them in the 1940s. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Pretty damn cool, so I am eagerly awaiting the list from Aaron, so I can be a born again geek.

Oh, picked up a book M was asking me about called "The Pro" by Garth Ennis. Basically a hooker who gets super powers. Oh Ya! So we are both eagerly awaiting to dive into that one. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket I will give a full report once I have finished reading it. Everyone I talked to tonight says it's a pretty damn great book. So yay!

Ok that was my crazy day. Bed time...and remember, when you are broke and lost all of your dreams, there is nothing like a camp fire and a can of beans.

So yesterday I went under the knife, so to speak, the big "V". In less then two months I will be sterile, no more condoms, yay for that.

The experience was one that I will soon not forget. On the plus side for now I get to lay on the couch, enjoy the euphoria that is Vicadin and enjoy some down time, currently enjoying the Coen Brothers classic "The Big Lebowski". However the last 18 hours or so it has felt like my junk has been in a constant state of tugging and pulling, so it's not all relaxing. With the help of my amazing wife and great children, I am hanging in there.

The actual procedure was not painful, but it certainly was not a walk in the park. Nothing like getting a needle stuck in your sack, not once but twice, to numb things up while an small incision is made, I wont go into too much more detail. But overall it was not too bad.

Just thought I would share this little bit of my life with those who care. The Vicadin is kicking in, so maybe some sleepy sleepy time now...

Cheers!

You're an Passionate Kisser

For you, kissing is about all about following your urges
If someone's hot, you'll go in for the kiss - end of story
You can keep any relationship hot with your steamy kisses
A total spark plug - your kisses are bound to get you in trouble

My lovely wife has been really encouraging me to be creative, her renewed interest in art and everything creative has made her happier then she has been in a long time. That has got me thinking; how can I get the motivation again?

Not only should I get back into films and the writing/making of them, but first I need to get back my inspiration, and that is to be done through films. Revisiting the films that inspired me the first time around.

Films such as "Eraserhead", "Reservoir Dogs", "Fargo", "Clerks", "El Mariachi" plus some newer films such as "Donnie Darko". I plan on digging through tons of commentaries and research and whatever it takes to get that inspiration. I had the love for film a long time ago, and I am finding that love is coming back to me.

Life took over my world and that life is better then it ever has been, I am the father of two amazing children and am happily married to a wonderful woman. So now I need to take pieces from my new and improved life and go from there.

More to come, and I am pledging not to wait another 5 months before I write another entry on here...

Cheers!

And to make things worse, M was not surprised. However I do have this to say about that; Farmer Ted did end up with Molly Ringwald's panties...so there.

<td align="center">You are Farmer Ted from 16 Candles

Let’s face it you are a nerd, but an endearing one. Because you are always trying to improve yourself socially you are able to do crazy stuff that most nerds would only dream of, like driving the hottest girl in school home without a license, while she tries to feed you birth control pills.

Ok gang, what are your top five guilty pleasure TV show theme songs...lets see them...

Mine are:

5) The A-Team - Those drums at the beginning gets me all the time

4) Sanford and Son - Damn if that isn't one of the hippest tunes on the planet

3) Family Ties - Don't ask, hearing that damn theme just takes me back

2) The Greatest American Hero - "Believe it or not, I'm walking on air"...I mean come on, what else is there?

1) Miami Vice - I wore a continous groove in the album of the sound track when I was a kid. Jan Hammer's theme, An Alligator named Elvis and Cigarette Boats...'nuff said.

And yours???

Enough of my yakin', let's boogie!
